This the new version of the classic Uncle Goose ABC Blocks. The 28-piece wooden alphabet block set is an exceptional educational toy. Your child will learn about the alphabet, numbers, and animals. These blocks will help expand language skills. The blocks are good sized at over 1 3/4" square each. The letters are expertly embossed to last through years of play.
The wood blocks of capital letters are great with the ABC Blocks Lowercase also by Uncle Goose. Together they show the alphabet in capital and lower cases as well as feature adult and baby animals (e.g., frog and tadpole). Great learning toy. Click on the "Images" tab above for more pictures.

A recent study reported in the October 2007 issue of Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine finds a strong association between playing with building blocks and a significant increase in language scores in young children. On average, kids who played with blocks scored 15 percent higher on their language assessment than those who did not.
