I came across the Baufix line of construction toys this summer and was pleased to see high-quality toys from Germany at affordable prices. Let’s face it -- the mighty dollar is having a tough time against its contender, the Euro. So when I see really good toys from Europe that are value priced, I take notice.
I like all of the Baufix construction toys for different reasons. They are particularly good for encouraging creativity in children. I like the Airplane because it’s a good one to start with. It has enough pieces to keep your child busy inventing different models beyond the three suggested in the box. They are also just the right number of pieces to promote a successful first run at construction models.
The pieces are good sized and are easy for young children to manipulate. This is important to keep kids from becoming frustrated to the point of giving up. The pieces can also be added to other Baufix construction sets for more complex creations. This route builds on your child’s successes and allows him or her to progress to more challenging models.
The Airplane, as with all the Baufix models, is quite impressive when put together. Your child will marvel at his or her accomplishment. It’s a great way to build your child’s confidence.
