Under the Nile organic toys are certified through the National Organic Program standard and contain no harmful chemicals. They have passed ASTM safety standards.

Janice Masoud, President of Under the Nile, joined the 13-Villages-Project to help bring about positive economic change to poverty-stricken rural areas of Egypt. As a member of the Project, Under the Nile trains and provides meaningful work to talented women villagers who otherwise could not leave their homes due to family obligations. The women are given fair wages for their labor. Through this effort, the 13 villages are beginning to see the fruits of their labor through new economic opportunities, better living conditions, free health care, and a sense of great pride by the quality of their work.
