miYim was founded by John Chae who has been making toys for 30 years. In 2002, his wife, Doreen, was diagnosed with cancer. With various treatments, Doreen began to regain her health. This experience led John and his family to think about a healthier way of living from the food they eat to every aspect of living, including what is given to children. This eventually prompted John to create toys that are made with the highest standards for health and safety.
Today, miYim lives to this commitment by using using organic materials and a dye process free of chemicals. miYim has also gained the organic certification by the well-recognized OCIA International -- one of the world's oldest, largest and most trusted leaders in the organic certification industry.
miYim organic toys have also passed safety tests conducted by independent institutes according to the effective norms of the ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) and EN 71 (European Standards).
