A multi-award winning company, Grimm's Spiel & Holz is known of its high-quality wooden toys, especially for its finely-crafted, creative and beautifully-stained wooden puzzles. Grimm's is a German company with roots that date back nearly three decades. Many of Grimm’s toys have earned the Spiel Gut distinction -- a quality mark awarded by the German Design Association's Committee of Games and Toys. Such an award recognizes high quality children toys that are also ecologically sensible.

Grimm's toys are made in Germany using mainly alder, lime, maple and cherry wood. All are expertly hand painted or oiled by hand. All dyes used are child-safe, water-based paints or natural oils. Grimm's meets or exceeds the effective norms of the ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) and EN 71 (European Standards). No heavy metals (such as lead and cadmium) or phtalates are used.
