How the Gift Registry Works

ChildTrek is pleased to offer a Gift Registry for showers, birthdays, and other special events. When you sign up for a gift registry, your event will be viewable by invitees only or to the public. The quantity of the gift item will be bought down as your party purchases from your selection. Please familiarize yourself to How to Add a New Gift Registry before you begin.

How to Add a New Gift Registry

1) Log in if you are already a registered user. If not, please register to access this service.

2) Once logged in, you will be directed to the "Add new registry or event" page. Fill in the fields. Choose "Public" if you would like your registry to be viewable by all. If you desire for only your invitees to view your selection, then choose "Private."

3) To add emails you would like to send notifications to, click the "+" icon. To remove, click the "-" icon.

5) If you would like your invitees to be able to post messages, "Enable" Guestbook.

6) Click "Add New" when you've completed this page. You will get a string of code or "key," which allows you to access and edit your registry later. Copy and paste this and send it to your email. Alternatively, you may log in and access your registry by clicking "Search" in the "Gift Registry" box. Choose your registry and edit. You must be logged in to access and edit your registry.

7) Once you've successfully added your registry, the page will show three tabs, "Products," "Notifications," and "Guestbook." Search and add your desired products under the "Products" tab. It's best to choose one word that best captures the type of toy. For example, for pull toys, enter "pull" and this should capture all pull toys. If you enter "pull toys" it will capture all "toys."

8) Once you've selected your desired products, and you are ready to send notifications, click on the "Notifications" tab. Select the emails you'd like to send, and click "Send notification to selected." The system will then send a notice to your invitees, who can now view your registry and buy down from your selection.

How to Find a Gift Registry

Go to Search in the Gift Registry box located at right-hand column of ChildTrek.com. Enter the name of gift registry. If the registry is enabled for public viewing, the registry should be among those listed at the Search area. If not, contact your party to gain access to the private event. They will need your email to send you a notification and access rights.
