Patricia Polacco Books

Patricia Polacco is an award-winning author and illustrator of several picture books for children. She was born in Lansing, Michigan. Her early years were spent in her grandmother's farm in Union City, Michigan - the setting for many of her stories. As a child, she struggled in school due to dyslexia. She was unable to read until she was 14 years old. She was teased by children and hid her disability until a teacher helped her. Thank you, Mr. Falker recounts this time of her life.
