CHILDTREK WINS NATIONAL EARTH DAY DISPLAY CONTEST

Tacoma’s very own ChildTrek has recently won another award – Plan Toys Earth Day 2009 Window Display Winner! Plan Toys – a specialty green toy manufacturer – holds a national contest each year for the best Earth Day Window Display at its participating retailers. Stores in over 30 states submitted display entries, with the winners receiving a prize worth $500 of Plan Toys merchandise.

Plan Toys is a world-class, multi-award-winning wooden toy manufacturer based in Thailand. It uses environmentally-friendly materials in all its merchandise, including: natural, recycled rubberwood; certified, E-Zero non-formaldehyde glue; non-toxic water-based dyes with no heavy metals; and soy ink and recycled and recyclable packaging materials. It meets and often exceeds industry safety and quality standards in its manufacturing process.

ChildTrek carries the largest storewide selection of Plan Toys in Washington State. As a winner of this very special contest, ChildTrek would like to provide more children with the opportunity to play with these eco-friendly, imagination-building toys. As such, it will donate half of its awarded Plan Toys to local non-profit children organizations.
